After a little research, I have debunked this story that quickly caught fire here on youtube and the internet. Let this be a lesson everyone, do not jump the gun, RESEARCH, DISCERN. This is a key lesson in such!
At first, I was skeptical, I know NASA censors data. So I decided to conduct my own research. All of the available solar data (SOHO, STEREO, Spaceweather) shows no X class flare inbound. Plus, the link that was provided with most of these videos about the flare, from the daily mail UK, was dated 2003! They provide no date on the direct link, but after I searched for it, I found the article and when it was dated. See for yourselves, search that site for "power cuts" and on page 2, about halfway down, you will see it. I would link it here, but with the search, the link is like 20 lines long.
So therefore, given this data, THERE IS NO X-18 FLARE INBOUND!
