High Tide Warning for the September 27, 2011 New Moon
On September 27th the new moon occurs 13 hours before the lunar perigee, the moon's close approach to the earth. Mercury passes behind the sun on the 28th as the moon is close to the earth. The moon passes Venus and Saturn on the 28th and Venus conjoins Saturn on the 29th. The earth passes between the sun and Uranus on the 25th.
