To protest against the online piracy bills SOPA and PIPA, Google, Reddit, Wikipedia, and others have blacked out parts of their sites. Elected officials, like Marco Rubio, Ben Quayle, and John Cornyn, co-sponsors of the bills, have pulled their support. New York protestors have staged an emergency tech meet-up outside the offices of Senators Schumer and Gillibrand. Serious efforts are being made all around. Maureen Aladin has details.
